Irbec visits Washington D.C. between 9th and 14th April 2015
Prof. Dr. Yusuf Ziya Irbec, MHP Antalya Deputy was in Washington D.C. to participate at the Global Parliamentary Conference as the Executive Board Member of the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) between 9th and 14th April 2015.
This year, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and World Bank Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim were also participated at the Conference for a Special Leadership Session. These stimulating and informative sessions brought together some 200 parliamentarians from around 100 countries, leaders from civil society and partner organizations, and top officials from the World Bank Group and the IMF. It was an opportunity to identify the Network’s policy focus for the upcoming years.
Dr. Irbec made a speech regarding the activities of the Parliamentary Network at the Financing for Development and Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals Session of the Conference.
Furthermore, a session was held to exchange of views that was dedicated to the members and the senior officials of the World Bank Group and the IMF.
